Commanders corner

Gentlemen,

The reenactment at Brattonsville has come and gone for another season. It was good to see 'Chip' back in the ranks with us, after the year he has gone through, and, we thought we had problems !!!

A couple of things we did over the weekend. That was talked about at the living history. Inspections. Camp/tent and uniform I believe added a little more history to our impression didn't you think?

Anyone have any additional comments and or ideas to continue refining our impression. Feel free to send a post about it.

Looking at where we were camped. Even though we were without doubt the farthest away from the camp entrance. It seemed that we had a very good amount of spectators come over and interact with us. Well done to everyone who helped to enlighten them on a little history.

It will not be long now to our final event of the season. At Boone Hall plantation in SC. I sincerly hope we can make it a memorable one with a FULL turnout. Hope to see you there.

If you're interested in Civil War living history events and would like to come out and try it someday, contact us through our guest book.

We'll be happy to lend you a uniform and you can march out onto the battlefield with us.

We sleep in canvas tents and cook over an open fire. Doesn't that sound fun.

It's great to get away from the 21st century.

Typically, we have one event every month. You're more than welcome to come out and try it to see if you like it.

Our next event is:

...Living History and Battle Event at Mt. Pleasant, SC this November 8th and 9th....
